"The most expensive window project out there is a project that you have to do twice" , because it wasn't done correctly the first time. A great window installed wrong, no matter how great the window is, is still a bad window!
We take pride in a 120 year tradition of helping homeowners make the right investment by managing the entire process from manufacturing our proprietary framing material to having our certified installers install your new windows and doors!
FIBREX®
All of our windows are made of our Fibrex®material, a revolutionary composite made from reclaimed wood fiber and thermal polymer with high pressure and high heat extruding those materials into a frame.
The result gives our windows the strength and durability of wood and the low-maintenance features of vinyl, while greatly limiting thermal transmittance (the transferring of energy) that can be found in other window materials such as metal.
Unlike most other window materials (wood, wood clad, vinyl, metal or fiberglass), our Fibrex composite material won’t flake, rust, blister, peel, crack, pit, or corrode. Our material strength is two times stronger than vinyl and resists warping and bowing that often times leads to seal failure like that of other materials. Never worry about scraping or painting your windows again, and drastically reduce seal failure due to the strength and design of our framing material and the technology behind our rolled spacer that sits between our two panes of glass.

Our appointment with Lincoln, our project consultant, was quite enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable on the subject of windows and excellent at teaching this first time consumer.
Window projects can be one of the top three investments you make in a home after kitchen and bathroom remodels. Windows and doors are the only home improvement project that is going to impact both the inside of your home to the outside of your home when it comes to appearance, performance and durability.
Their are costs associated with a project consultant coming to your home. So a free consultation, beit "FREE", still costs Renewal by Andersen money to setting up of the appointment, a rep traveling to the appoint (often times a rep can drive 90 minutes to get to an appt, which is a 3 hour round trip in the car just t o run the appointment), to the time in the appointment. If a homeowners who has a need, loves our product, and trusts us to do the work, they will asked to make a decision when the project consultant is there. This is not a tactic to trick a homeowner rather one that simply passes the savings along to the homeowner preventing another trip out from one of our sales reps.
Typically from when a homeowner meets with a project consultant to when the windows and/or doors are installed in their home is approximately 10-12 weeks. This can be sooner based on the number of windows/doors ordered. We would much rather under promise and over deliver than do the opposite.
When our install team arrives at your house it usually takes an hour to an hour and a half to install a window and three hours to install a door.
Simple, 120+ years of tradition, experience, research and development, and the fact we control every aspect of our window and door process from manufacturing to install is clearly a game changer. There is more to this than what meets the eye but at a 30,000 ft view these things set us apart from our competition.
Many people think just because my window isn't falling out of my house that their windows are fine. That couldn't be more wrong. Just because your window isn't falling out doesn't mean they are working. There are three things you should be thinking about when considering a window and/or door replacement; appearance, performance, and durability. It needs to look like it aesthetically fits your home, it needs to perform the way it suppose to regarding efficiency, and it needs to last a long time. More than just a few short years. If it doesn't do any one of those things would you want it in your home?
A homeowner is responsible for a few things when doing a window replacement. Besides paying for the project, they are responsible for removing furniture within 4 ft of the window area and anything around the walls that may be damaged during an install. A homeowner is also responsible for removing and shutters, curtains, blinds, and any alarm system that may be connected to the windows and or the frames of the windows. Besides that we take care of everything else.
To start our installers are certified Renewal by Andersen installers that only work for us. They are not a third party installer that work on a roofing project one day and your windows the next day. They only install our windows and doors, all day everyday! Second, they have a deep understanding of our product and how it is supposed to be installed into your home. Beyond the daily work of installing windows into homes they are constantly working doing continuing education learning new and better ways to serve a homeowner when installing our products into your home.
In a nutshell warranties can get confusing and frustrating to a homeowner. To keep is short , all of our windows have a lifetime warranty on the install (again, a great window installed poorly is still a bad window, no matter how much you paid for it). Our white frame windows have a 20 year warranty on the construction of the frame, all of the components that make up a frame, and the color (guaranteed not to blister, chip, or fade) on the interior and exterior. Lastly, we have a 10 year warranty on the hardware on any of our windows (typically this is referring to the locks). Lastly, our window warranty is transferrable to the next homeowner if you ever decide to sell your home. In addition to that transferable warranty we recommend putting our warranty on your MLS when selling your house. It brings considerable value to your home knowing that your home is energy efficient and secure by a reputable company like Renewal by Andersen.
Typically a free consultation takes 60-90 minutes and we discuss your needs and concerns. Next, we do a complementary inspection of all your windows and doors. Lastly we discuss all the products currently on the market, before giving you a price for your new window replacement project.
Simply put, there are two divisions inside of Andersen. There is the new construction window side and a window replacement side. Renewal by Andersen serves as the window replacement division of Andersen.
